There are numerous types of taxes three important ones would be your income taxes, payroll taxes, and consumption taxes. Now taxes for the most part is the government tells the people what they have to pay and how much. One way of taxing the people is called a head tax. Basically the government says everyone has to pay the same equal amount of taxes. So the poor and rich each have to pay the same amount. Only problem is the rich can pay it with no problem and then it serves a problem to the poor, because their giving almost all their money for these taxes. Another way the government charges for taxes is by the percentage of how much money a single person makes. Now in this sense it helps the poor because the rich have to pay more, but the problem is some people may not know or won't tell how much they really have. [1]Dr. Karen. "Taxes." historyforkids. Where are these taxes going?
The chart below shows the distribution of the US taxes of 2009. Notice that the charts says that 44.4% is current military spending and a measly 2.2% is on education and jobs. Is the importance of getting a good education and jobs a little more important then 2.2%. If anything it starts off at an education a child starts school around age 5 and then is in school till there an adult. What they learn and the education they get will determine what will happen in the future, but if there not getting an education or the government is putting little effort in helping kids get a good education and help the jobs then thats the start of a bad generation. Yes It is important to have a defense, but there's also many other things that need to be targeted right now. Balance it out it seems like the government wants to help themselves out by being a powerful country, but not one that cares about the jobs or education or other more important things taxes could be going to. its also OUR money and WE earned it shouldn't we get to say where it goes?

Is there a problem with taxes?
Yes there is a problem with the taxes the economy is terrible and they still want to keep taxing more and more. We need tax cuts to help the American people. Make it easier for the working American. Its very frustrating when your working hard at your job and the government wants to force you to pay taxes that you don't even have a say in where they go. We need to lower taxes and the taxes the Americans do give they should be used wisely and towards important situations. Truth about the taxes
Remember this
We need to do something about the taxes now. They are taxing us for EVERYTHING. The taxes needed to be lowered and used in a more proper manner, because the taxes will just keep coming and coming and we will have to pay more and more. The Tax Poem
Arthur:Unknown
Tax his land, tax his wage,
Tax his bed in which he lays.
Tax his tractor, tax his mule,
Teach him taxes is the rule.
Tax his cow, tax his goat,
Tax his pants, tax his coat.
Tax his ties, tax his shirts,
Tax his work, tax his dirt.
Tax his chew, tax his smoke,
Teach him taxes are no joke.
Tax his car, tax his grass,
Tax the roads he must pass.
Tax his food, tax his drink,
Tax him if he tries to think.
Tax his sodas, tax his beers,
If he cries, tax his tears.
Tax his bills, tax his gas,
Tax his notes, tax his cash.
Tax him good and let him know
That after taxes, he has no dough.
If he hollers, tax him more,
Tax him until he's good and sore.
Tax his coffin, tax his grave,
Tax the sod in which he lays.
Put these words upon his tomb,
"Taxes drove me to my doom!"
And when he's gone, we won't relax,
We'll still be after the inheritance tax.[2]
